But Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) is determined to stop the masked maniac. Jamie enlists the help of her friend Amelia (Kelcey Mawema), and together, they travel back in time to 1987 and link up with the teen version of her mom (Olivia Holt) to stop the killer.

2 ‘The Burial’

Also coming to Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 13, 2023, is the drama “The Burial,” featuring Jamie Foxx, directed by Maggie Betts. The events in the movie are said to have been inspired by true life events. The film follows the story of a Mississippi lawyer who took on the case of a funeral home owner, Jeremiah O’Keefe (Tommy Lee Jones), against a corporate funeral parlor conglomerate. With the help of his lawyer, O’Keefe won $260 million in compensation. The film explores themes like race, power, and injustice.

The movie will first be in theaters on Oct. 6th, but no worries, as it will be available on Amazon Prime Video a week later.

3 ‘Appendage’

The human mind often creates weird images and imaginations of terrible events and happenings. “Appendage” portrays how the human mind can create and define a person’s reality. In the storyline, Hannah, a young fashion designer, hits a breaking point in her life, leading to her dark inner thoughts. Gradually, Hannah’s inner thoughts begin to grow into a monstrous creature bent on ending her life.

“Appendage” is directed by Anna Zlokovic. The horror movie is coming to Hulu on Oct. 2, 2023.

4 ‘The Boogeyman’

In this horror film, Sophie Thatcher (portraying Sadie Harper) and Vivien Lyra Blair (as Sawyer Harper) star. Still reeling from the painful death of their mother, Sadie and Sawyer Harper find themselves plagued by a dark presence in their house. On the one hand, the girls struggle to get their grieving father, Chris Messina (as Will Harper), to pay attention to this strange experience. On the other hand, Will Harper struggles to convince his psychiatrist that there is a sadistic creature — the Boogeyman — lurking around his home.

The mystery thriller is set for a release date on Hulu on Oct. 5, 2023.

7 ‘Damsel’

“Damsel” is a fantasy film about a young woman (Millie Bobby Brown) who was told the lie that she would be marrying a handsome prince. Excited that she would be a princess, she agrees to the marriage only to find out that the royal family recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a bloodthirsty, fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her survival instincts and wits to save herself.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directs the action-adventure film, which will be available for streaming on Netflix on Oct. 13, 2023.

8 ‘The Pigeon Tunnel’
